Outstanding power generation efficiency & reliability

Based on technology with history and track record of more than 30 years in Europe, the United
States and other countries, PR-AZ has developed a small wind turbine (made in Japan) to adapt to
the Japanese market. By conducting from site selection to wind condition surveys, PR-AZ provides optimized small-scale wind power generation systems.
It is also possible to operate the system at rated output of 19.8 kW per unit, to sell energy at FIT
price for less than 20 kW, and to keep initial investment low.

Specifies of Our Product 19.8 kW type

*1 The standard noise level is the value measured on the ground at a distance of 25 meters from the center of the rotor when the turbine is
operating at a wind speed of 8 m/s at hub height.
*2 Note, however, that the design lightning load is 600 coulombs.

Maximum Electrical Power Generation at Small-size Wind Power

Small-size Wind Power

Among the class of small-size wind turbines
in Japan, rotor diameter is the maximum (15.6
meters)
, and the wind-receiving area of the
rotor is also the maximum. Hub height as well
is highest (20.6 meters). This enable receiving
high-up, fast-moving wind.

Because of this, the GHRE 19.8J boasts the maximum electrical power generation of the
small-size turbine class
.

Feature 2 High Profitability

Prospects of electricity sale

In installation of a 19.8 kW power plant, annual electricity sale
of roughly 4.5 million JPY can be expected at
the aforementioned FIT price, provided that the wind conditions
are good at the location (6 m/s average).
In contrast to solar power generation that is possible
only during daytime, wind power generation is operated 24/7,
thus resulting in higher per-hour generation efficiency
and high FIT price. Comparison with solar power generation
shows its energy sale income of approx.
800,000 JPY on the 20 kW level. In the case of
wind power generation, its earnings are more than 5 times
that of solar power plant.

– These are reference values calculated by our own independent methods.
– Actual amounts of energy production vary according to environmental conditions at the installation site. No assurance is made regarding expected sales
figures at specific annual wind speeds.
– Calculations are based on a purchase price of 55 JPY (before tax) per kWh up through February 2018.

Feature 3 High Reliability

SCADA Functionality

SCADA Functionality

The GHRE 19.8J is equipped with a monitoring
control system. This makes it possible to
monitor status and control the system from
a remote data center via an Internet connection.

1) Prioritized wireless access
2) Real-time monitoring of operation status
3) Enables remote control of the turbine
4) Enables acquisition of wind conditions,
amount of electrical power generation, and
 operating history

Feature 4 Effective Use of Land

Even small land parcels can be used to generate profits.

A GHRE 19.8J unit can be installed on land as small as 16 by 16 meters (256 m2).
Other construction requirements include ensuring a construction yard and a load-in route (having a road width of 4 to
5 meters), and utility poles for grid connection.
When installing multiple units, the form of the terrain and the direction of the wind can greatly affect performance.
Please consult us.

Examples of land utilization
1) Idle land adjacent to farmland that does not require
 farmland conversion procedures
2) Unused or idle land on factory or warehouse grounds
3) Unused residual forested land and the like associated
with forest or greenway development projects

Use in combination with agriculture or
other primary business is possible,
and comparatively few development permits are required.
Location requirements
1) Proximity to utility poles having the capacity for grid connection
2) Access to roadways that allow transportation of lengthy and heavy articles

Location requirements
Suitable locations for installation of small-scale wind turbines
Recommended locations
1) Coastal areas facing oceans 2) Locations where strong winds blow from mountains
3) Mountain ridges, peaks, and other high locations.
Required footprint for installing a small-scale wind turbine
The rotor diameter of the GHRE 19.8J is a compact 15.6 meters. Installation in a space measuring 16 meters on a side (256 m2)
will ensure that the rotor is contained, even with the turning of the nacelle.
Note: Ample space for earthmoving equipment during construction work is required.
Required spacing when installing multiple small-scale wind turbines
When installing multiple small-scale wind turbines, to prevent mutual interference between turbines,
the turbines must be places at vertical intervals of 45 meters (approximately 3 times the rotor diameter)
with respect to the prevailing wind direction and at horizontal intervals of 120 meters (approximately
8 times the rotor diameter) along the prevailing wind direction.

System for offshore wind farm

Offshore wind farm is largely divided into the phases of preliminary survey, installation, trial operation, operation and removal. Each of these phases involve many and multiple types of work vessels. Some of them may be generic in capability. And some may require the functions and performance levels distinctive of offshore wind farm projects, represented by the offshore wind farm installation vessels. The offshore wind farm system offered by PR-AZ supports responsibly through partnership with businesses possessing specialized vessels to resolve such problems until customers starts power generation business in a short period.
